Colorado Cattlemen's Association Holds Annual Convention in Steamboat Springs
This week members of the Colorado Cattlemen's Association (CCA) met in Steamboat Springs for their annual convention.Mike Hogue is the CCA's president from Steamboat Springs and says one of the legislative priorities they're tackling this year is wolves.
""It's a hot topic here today" said Hogue. "We have a ballot initiative in the state to reintroduce wolves and how we're going to deal with that issue is very complicated. It's not something easy to whip. It's very expensive to fight ballot initiatives in this state. So, we are we're strategizing I guess is the way is the way to address that."
The CCA is also working on other important issues impacting Colorado cattlemen and cattlewomen like ELDs and Hours of Service regulations for U.S. livestock haulers, WOTUS and trade.
