As we chalk up another great spring salmon run, fisherman all around the west are starting to fill their nets with Walleye. Here is Todd Smith to share a few tips out on the water. Walleye fishing goes on all over the place especially the Columbia River. A lot of guys are hooking with good 10 to 15 pound fish. A lot of these are getting released back to make more walleye in the fishery. Most of them are being caught with crank baits off structure. A lot of rigs with wedding ring setups and worms dragging them across the bottom. With the Columbia River we are not worried with the time of day as much as with the wind. We usually do the best when the wind is down.
