We’re talking songwriting here on today’s program. Lee Brice is, of course, a country music singer and also a songwriter. And he is the newest brand ambassador for Case IH. Growing up in South Carolina, Brice said he was raised with a family in agriculture and has always had a deep appreciation for the work that farmers do. It’s because of this that he says it’s important his kids grew up in the same way, adding that he thinks that farm kids have an advantage in learning how to problem solve…

“Learning on your own and just kind of being out and exploring…that’s just something that I don’t think that a lot of kids these days are getting and I feel like it’s a real life lesson later down the road. They’ll look up and be like, “what do you mean you can’t change a tire.”’

In comes his newest song. It’s titled simply “Farmer” and he says it was written specifically to lift up those agriculture…

“So we came up with the idea of writing a song that really lifts up the farmer. The person who does all the work that makes it to where you can get in our air conditioned car or - even now - not even do that, just order it online and it shows up on your front door.”

Again Lee Brice, country music singer and songwriter talking about his newest song, “Farmer.”
