This is Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for November 1st. The livestock market is in holding pattern awaiting the upcoming presidential election. Here's Virginia McGathey, from the floor of the CME in Chicago to explain more.

Chicago May Wheat prices closed yesterday up 4 ½, at 447. May corn ended the day down 3/4, at 369.

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March. ended the day 4.7375-4.9875 . Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for march. were 5.0750-5.2250. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for march. were 6.3350-6.3850 .

Feb. Live Cattle were dn 80, at 104.12. Jan. Feeder cattle were dn 87 ½ cents at 112.57 ½. Dec. class III milk was up 28 cents at 15-85.
