There is nothing better than being on the water on a nice fall day, so I thought I would reach out to one of the most knowledgeable fishing guides in the west to get an update on fall Salmon season. Here is Shane Moon with Moon's guide Service. "Right now we just finished up our summer run of sockeye and kings up at lake Wenatchee. Fish are getting dark up there, season is going to close on the 5th getting reedy to pack up and move the came down to Vernita, to start the fall run of kings. Which is starting to look decent, Bonneville dam counts are up and the fish are on the way up the river. Shane, I know you don't want to share all of your secrets, but what has been working for kings in that stretch of the river? The Reach is a pretty cool place. About any way you can fish for kings will work. There are a lot of guys including me that will run super baits, and pro troll flashers that back troll them, there is guys that down hill troll them, they are all effective. We also run a lot of eggs, and plugs this time of year.
