This is Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for Aug 16th. Grain markets seeing a spike. Here's Jack Scoville to share the details from the floor of the CME in Chicago. Scoville ""Chicago Sept. Wheat prices closed the day dn 1/2, at 421. Sept. corn ended yesterday up 4 1/2, at 327 ¾. Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Aug. ended the day up 2.00 to 17.00, ranging from 4-92 to 5-12. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for Aug. were dn 4 1/2, ranging from 4-91 ¾ to 5-21 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. was up 1 ½, ranging from 6-00 to 6-15. Aug Live Cattle were Dn 40 cents, to finish the day at 115.87 1/2. Aug Feeder cattle were Dn 42 ½ cents, to close the day at 148.55. Aug. class III milk was up 4 cents, at 17-01.
