AMMO Workshops Continue. I'm Greg Martin with Washington Ag Today.

Ever thought you could be a better farmer? Perhaps you could use some extra lessons in profitability. Lori Williams, Outreach Coordinator with the Washington Association of Wheat Growers says their AMMO workshops are designed with that in mind.

WILLIAMS: AMMO started back in 2009 with a small group of Lincoln Country businesses wanting to provide educational opportunities to growers in the area and then it came under the programs of Washington Association of Wheat Growers and we have expanded it throughout Eastern Washington just to provide those management opportunities.

Williams talks about the next AMMO workshop.

WILLIAMS: On the 10th we continue with Randy Fraser. he is a nationally known speaker out of the Arkansas area known for leadership, communication skills and dealing with change. He is going to present at Northern Quest Casino on February 10th starting at 10 with the topic of "What Ag Leaders Need To Know," and we thought this might be appropriate. We do have several of our sponsor members are cooperative in their structure

The AMMO workshops are open to the public but pre-registrations are recommended. The workshops continue.

WILLIAMS: We continue through the month of February. On the 11th, actually the next day, we are in Ritzville with fuel containment compliance. The spill prevention control and counter measure legislation that has come out has got some growers worried, that they wanted to make sure they followed all the guidelines and not going to face any unnecessary fines.

And that's Washington Ag Today. I'm Greg Martin, thanks for listening on the Ag Information Network of the West.
