This is the Agribusiness Update...I'm Greg Martin...

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization the agriculture model of the past 40 years will be unsustainable due to climate change and increasing competition for natural resources. FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva speaking at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture this past Friday as part of 'Green Week' called for a 'paradigm shift' in food production adding that food systems need to become smarter and more efficient if they are to feed the future.

United Fresh Produce Association has a new look. They've announced their new Association logo and redesigned website www.unitedfresh.org. The new brand aims to elevate the Association's mission to build a stronger connection across the United Fresh supply chain encompassing, grower-shippers; fresh-cut processors; wholesaler-distributors; retail-foodservice operators; floral; and industry service providers. United Fresh President & CEO Tom Stenzel said "January is symbolically a time of fresh starts."

That's today's Agribusiness Update from the Ag Information Network of the West.
