It's so funny. I called Sportsmen's Warehouse last week and wanted to talk to somebody who knew about trail cams. I got the manager of that section of the store and asked him and he told me that the guy I wanted to talk to had moved to another store and was an absolute genius about this technology. He told me the guys name was Jeris Hobert and gave me his number. So I called Jeris and as I started talking with him I recognized he is a virtual font of information. As he was talking he got into infrared images. I'm a simple country boy and wanted an explanation. Sales Associate Jeris delivered in spades. "Infrared allows you to take a picture at night without a giant flash like the old Polaroids. It gives a low glow pulse that throws out a projected picture. It throws out the pulse and anything that reflects back becomes the picture. Do the cameras go frame by frame? They can go frame by frame. Some can have sub one second trigger speed. Some are little more like 1 1/2 seconds. Then you can also set the delay for 3 to 5 seconds or maybe one minute delay. You can also do a video where if you wanted to set maybe a five second video all the way up to a 62nd video so you can look at your pictures or your videos in succession.

I told you he's a brainiac. But Jeris is not totally unique to Sportsmen's Warehouse. I have never been disappointed by their information or their honesty, meaning, if one guy doesn't have the answer you'll find somebody who does.
