Randy's Bear Hunt

Randy King bear story. The other day I was up bear hunting. My buddy runs a bear bait and he allows me to take kids up there. So I took my son and his son and we were trying to get his son his first black bear. His kit is 12 and he is benefiting from the new law in Idaho allowing kids to go a little bit younger. So we are up in the bait stand and we forget our chairs so we are sitting there having to squat and lay down on the dirt in the middle of a rain storm. The kids get bored, their phones die and they go to sleep. Wouldn't you know that the minute they go to sleep the bear shows up and I couldn't wake them up in time to get them onto a black bear. It was standing next to the bait before it ran off. Now for the rest of their life I get to tell them the story about how they were asleep when the bear came in.
