Beef Counts Rollover Auction Raises More than $25,000

Earlier this week, cattle feeders and ranchers from across Washington state gathered at the Toppenish Livestock Exchange to bid in Beef Count’s charity rollover auction which raised more than $25,000 which will provide nutritious, wholesome beef to hungry families in need. Washington Beef Commission’s Director of Promotions Rob Noel says it was an exciting place to be.
Noel: “It was great crowd. There were a lot of people and a lot of activity. It was just a really great place to be and you could really feel the energy.”
In addition to the overwhelming generosity of the participating bidders, Noel adds some additional thank yous.
Noel: “They not only donate the facility, but also are big financial supporters as well. So hats off definitely to Toppenish Livestock. The Foreman family at Trinity Farms donated the calf again this year. A great family, great generosity. They were there as well so they didn’t just donate the calf — they were there for the full meal deal.”
He adds that the Beef Counts Program was started by AgriBeef and they continue to match donations given like in this recent rollover auction.
Regardless of whether you are an active rancher or not, Noel encourages you to consider donating to this important program.
Noel: “Its just now a producer event, its something that anyone can participate in to help a hungry family.”
