Fighting the HSUS

Fighting the HSUS

I'm KayDee Gilkey and welcome to Open Range. Here's Greg with today's report.

I'm Greg Martin with the AgriBeef Minute. Dave Duquette, President of United Horsemen's Association is part of a crusade to unmask the Humane Society of the United States and show how they are misleading the general public.

DUQUETTE: A prime example of what they're doing right now is they take the low fruit and they go after everybody else, and they're very calculated, the Humane Society is extremely calculated and they have a long term goal of veganism. They make no bones about saying that, wanting to stop all hunting, fishing, eating of meat. All of that.

Duquette says they really need to pull all the industries together to fight this issue.

DUQUETTE: We've helped to uncover a lot of the things that have gone on and that Humane Watch, that great group back in DC has done and Protect the Harvest is continuing on and going even one step further with what they're doing. The Humane Society; we know that they use less than one-half of one percent of the $150-million that they get a year for hands on shelters.

If you really want to give, Duquette recommends giving money or time directly to your local shelter and not to the Humane Society. We will have more with Dave Duquette on this important issue in future shows.

I'm Greg Martin and that's today's AgriBeef Minute.

Thanks Greg. Don't forget Greg will be back each Wednesday with the AgriBeef Minute. Agri Beef Co - Real Families, Great People, Exceptional Beef. I'm KayDee Gilkey.
