Grain and Cattle Futures Prices Lower on Friday

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for October 20, 2014.
Friday brought lower prices in both grain and cattle future prices. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders shares last week’s cattle market update for the region.
Sanders: “Northwest direct cattle, we had a little over 2,100 head trade compared to last week. Feeder cattle were steady, trade was slow with good demand. It seems safe to say that both sides are confused at this point regarding price potential thanks to the extreme price voltiatlity seen at the CME so far this week with several feeder months contracts were limit lower for the second consequive sessions. Again long liquidation and bearish seemed to be the key."
Chicago December Wheat ended Friday down a penny at 5-16. December corn ended the day down 4 and 1/4 cents at 3-48.
