Wheat Sinks Lower on Thursday

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for April 11, 2014.
All wheat futures were down across the board Thursday. From the floor of the CME Group, Larry Shover shares his observations of Thursday’s markets.
Shover: “Fairly an active day here at the grain complex here on Thursday at the CME Group. Wheat ended the day down about 6 cents. The export number was estimated at 400,000 to 700,000 came in at the low side at 390,000 metric tons. USDA ending stocks were up at 583 metric tons. Open interest — once again, two days in a row — have climbed higher.”
Chicago May Wheat ended Thursday down 6 and 3/4 cents at 6-62 and 1/4. May corn ended the day down a penny at 5-01and 1/4.
Portland prices for soft white wheat were down 4 to 6 and 3/4 cents at mostly 7-49 and 3/4. White club wheat prices were down 4 to 6 and 3/4 cents at mostly 7-99 and 3/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were down 10 and 3/4 cents at mostly 8-42 and 1/2. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were down 11 and 3/4 to 21 and 3/4 cents at mostly 8-56.
June live cattle were down 42 and half cents on Thursday at 135-20. May Feeder cattle were down 55 cents at 179-67 and half. May class III milk was down 23 cents at 21-22.
