Film documentarian, Scott Rockholm has worked relentlessly for years researching and documenting the problems associated with the reintroduction of wolves to the Northwest. “I have produced one film already and in the works right now with my second film. The first film I produce was called ‘Yellowstone is Dead’. I produced that about four years ago. I wanted to show exactly what those wolves have done to that park. I have been all my life and outdoorsman and hunter, along with that I have been a ranch hand in some capacity, very much in tune with the ranching roots of my family, my grandfather was a rancher and all of my friends are ranchers. It has been a great experience all my life and I have always had an understanding of what should be in nature. About 8 1/2 years ago I saw firsthand what the wolves had done. Being ignorant to the overall scope of what had happened, I just immediately assumed that it was the wolf’s fault. Of course as anybody would do when you’re hunting grounds are crushed and you are seeing your friends cattle being killed and slaughtered, it creates a drive in some people. I happen to have that drive where I wanted to fight back. Early on, I took on filming some of the events that the pro-wolf side were attending. I tried to understand what they wanted and what the government wanted. Almost every public meeting that had to do with wolves almost entirely across a three state region.”

We will continue this tomorrow and you might be shocked and amazed by what Scott has to tell you.
