Georgia farmer Zippy DuVall was elected president of the American Farm Bureau just five months ago. At a recent conference in Salt Lake City, the new president addressed the staffers of all the state Farm Bureaus across America. DuVall Traveled the country while campaigning and he says it changed him. "Changed me as a leader. People in your states and their passion for our organization and how the issues affected them, I realized this is a huge country, some of the different issues affected people differently. But we all have one thing in common and that was to wake up to a better day tomorrow and make things happen." Just days after he was elected, he received a phone calls of congratulations from Donald Trump. "Telephone rings and I answered the phone and this gentleman said, Mr. DuVall and I said yes that is correct and he asked, would your name be Zippy DuVall and I said yes sir that is my name. He said you have a moment to have a conversation with Donald Trump. So I immediately put him on speaker so that my wife and my son could experience knowing that no one was going to believe this. I have two witnesses. He says I know you're in agriculture and you are being regulated to death. That's got to be one of my top issues. He also said we have to take care of this so you guys can go back to work." DuVall also spoke on the importance of Farm Bureau members being involved in the political process.
