Here's a voice that has been on our network many times. "Specialty crops are defined to include fruits and vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, and horticulture and nursery crops, including floriculture." That very familiar voice is Amanda Gibson, former spokesperson at the Idaho Department of Agriculture. Well, Amanda has changed jobs. Amanda has joined the United Dairymen of Idaho as the new manager of business development and processor relations. She will serve as a vital link between Idaho's dairy farm families and the larger dairy industry supply chain, helping build demand and growing sales of Idaho's largest agricultural economy.

Karianne Fallow, CEO of United

Dairymen of Idaho told me that "Amanda has a proven track record of working with agricultural commodities -- including dairy -- to grow demand for the very high

quality products we produce in Idaho. Her experience in marketing agricultural products and her expertise in global markets will serve Idaho's dairy

farmers well." Amanda spent four years

managing international projects at the Idaho State Department of

Agriculture, connecting companies with qualified buyers worldwide and

helping them navigate logistical challenges.
