Clore Anniversary

Clore Anniversary

Clore Anniversary. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.

It took a long time to get it off the ground and now the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center is celebrating it's first birthday! Abbey Cameron is the Director of the Clore Center.

CAMERON: It feels like it's gone by very, very quickly. it doesn't feel like it's been a year. We're just so excited to have worked with so many wineries and welcomed so many visitors over the last year and so happy to be able to celebrate that milestone this weekend on May 30th & 31st.

The Clore Center is a centralized tasting room that features a rotating palette of wines from all across the state as well as pays tribute to its namesake, Dr. Walter Clore. Cameron says they have a full slate of things going on this weekend including some special drinks.

CAMERON: We're offering a $1 tasting fee all day on Saturday and Sunday to everybody that comes in. We have a delicious fresh fare menu that's available every Saturday and Sunday actually and we're going to be doing some ticket giveaways. Really the main event is Saturday from 4 to 7 pm. We've got live music, we're staying open a little bit later hoping people will come out, join us on the patio for a glass of wine or a beer. We'll have some local beers in the house as well.

The Clore Center is just off interstate 82 at Wine Country Road in Prosser.

That's today's Fruit Grower Report. I'm Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network of the West.
