I'm Susan Allen in for KayDee Gilkey with the Farm and Ranch Report.

Once again we have USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders with the Columbia Basin Hay report from last week.

Sanders: "We had about 5200 tons of hay trade. Compared to last Friday, all grades of export and domestic Alfalfa steady in a light test. Export demand is up 11 percent from year-ago levels. Alfalfa mid square supreme quality sold for $165 per ton. Alfalfa small square bales fair to good sold for the retail/stable market sold for $155 a ton. Orchard grass on the small square bales premium quality for the retail/stable market sold at $220 a ton. Timothy grass for the export market fair and good quality sold at $155 per ton."

Thank you, Greg, in Idaho compared the previous week trade was slow to moderate with good demand for higher testing supplies. Mid squares of alfalfa rated supreme sold between $120 and $140 per ton and mid-squares rated fair to good sold for $65 per ton.

In Oregon, prices trended generally steady compared to the previous week. In Lake County, large squares of alfalfa rated premium sold for $200 per ton. In Klamath Basin mid squares of alfalfa/orchard grass mix rated good sold for $140 per ton. In Eastern Oregon, large squares of alfalfa rated good to premium sold for $120 per ton.
