New President for Rocky Mountain Farmers Union

At the recent Rocky Mountain Farmers Union annual convention, Dr. Dale McCall become the next president. He thanks Kent Peppler who just stepped down from the role of president.
McCall: “We just want to commend Kent Peopler for his nine years of service — amazing dedication service. He left the organization in great shape and we will go on to do great things for Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming agriculture.”|
Dr. McCall shares more about what the next year holds for the organization.
McCall: “We’re looking forward to a great year. We’ll be focusing on policy at the state level of course we have an advocacy role at the state capitol representing agriculture representing and our 22,000 members — most of them family farmers. So we will focusing on that. We set our policy at the convention to base our advocacy work on. Then in the spring in March we head off to our national convention in Minneapolis Minnesota where we will work with other Farmers Union organizations throughout the nation setting national policy and advocating for apiculture on the federal level.”
McCall is a past president of the FFA Foundation board and currently is part-time executive director of the Colorado Boards of Cooperative Educational Services. He and three generations of his family make financial and management decisions on their Yuma farm.
