Introducing New CCA Staff Member

The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association has announced their new hire of Erin Karney for the position of Director of Industry programs. Karney shares more about her background.
Karney: “So I’m originally from the southeast part of Colorado Los Animas, Colorado. My family runs a commercial cow-calf operation. From that operation I went to pursue my bachelor at Colorado State University in animal science and ag business. Then I went on to get my Masters in meat science as well as being the meat judging coach at CSU. Then after completing my Masters, I went and was a quality programs coordinator at the AgriBeef processing plant in Toppenish, Washington.”
As the director of industry programs, Karney will work closely with the executive vice president, leadership and beef producers on a wide variety of issues and programs including natural resources, advocacy, and membership development. She continues
Karney: “My family is long-time CCA and NCBA members and I’ve always valued what CCA does for the industry and I’m just humble and happy to be able to serve Colorado cattle producers.”
