Guidestone Colorado's Mission is to Grow Next Generation Ag Producers

In 2007 Guidestone Colorado was formed as a non-profit organization. It has special mission for the state’s ag community as Guidestone's Executive Director Jennifer Visitacion shares
Visitacion: “Guidestone Colorado is a 501 C3 organization. We grow the next generation of farmers and ranchers through education, community building and partnerships. In Colorado we work primarily in the Arkansas River Valley but we’ve been expanding our programs beyond the communities in this region.”
There are three main areas of focus for the organization
Vistacion: “Supporting farm to school efforts and providing youth programs. So kids can learn the important skills of growing their food and knowing where their food comes from. So those are our Farm Hand Education programs and we do summer camps at the Hutchinson Homestead and Learning Center and at area farms and ranches. Then we also work on the Colorado Land Link program that really links next generation farmers and ranchers to land opportunities across the state and the resources they need to develop successful agricultural business. So a huge part of what we do is develop partnerships and collaborations so that we can help network farmers and ranchers to other organizations that providing technical services as well as financial services.”
