Annual CCALT Fundraiser on July 11th

For the past 20 years the Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust has been helping the state’s ranchers protect their ag lands and encourage the intergenerational transfer of ranches and farms. Executive Director Erik Glenn shares more details about the upcoming Land Trust’s annual fundraiser the Sunset BBQ which will be held near Colorado Springs.
Glenn: “So this year’s BBQ will take place on Saturday, July 11th. At the Johnson/Hammond Family’s Elk Ranch. So it’s a pretty neat property and it has been in production agriculture throughout its existence. It’s been in the same family since it was homesteaded. It is a beautiful location for the celebration of 20 years of conservation. This is the Cattlemen’s Land Trust’s 20th anniversary — so it is an exciting time for us and an exciting location to celebrate some great work over the last two decades.”
If you would like to participate, you can go to www.ccalt.org and register online or call their office.
Glenn: “The proceeds will go entirely to ensuring that Colorado’s agricultural industry has a bright future. All the proceeds will go to Land Trust for its continued work that it does working with agriculture families to help them achieve their conservation goals.”
