Bill Scott
Bill Scott, the ?Voice of Idaho Agriculture? loves his home state of Idaho and from the comments we receive from our listeners, the feeling is quite mutual! Bill?s wit and knowledge shared each day in Today?s Idaho Ag News and the Farm Bureau Voice of Idaho Agriculture reports have made Idaho?s agricultural and human resource topics resonate well beyond the agriculture community to inform and entertain the general listening audience. The recipient of numerous broadcasting and news awards the most recent being the Idaho Grain Growers electronic news media award. Bill spent nearly 15 years as news director at Boise radio stations KBOI and KIDO before joining the news team at NWAIN in 2001. Bill started his career in broadcasting in 1965 in Ohio and moved to California in 1970 where he became the news/sports director for a Riverside radio station and an anchor/producer for a Palm Springs television station before moving to Idaho in the spring of 1983. Bill and his wife Pat live in Boise and he counts ?one of the best things in life? as being able to be a hands -on Grandpa as his three young grandsons and one granddaughter all live close by and Bill and his grandsons often attend BSU football and basketball games together. Bill Scott lives by the philosophy is that ? You are never to old to learn something new?. He takes art and history classes at Boise State and is an accomplished oil painter, (his seascapes and barns are beautiful.) In his spare time he enjoys gardening, hiking and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
